He is the author of 20 works of reference on the history of sailing, among them Les Tours du monde à la voile, La Louis Vuitton's Cup, La LittleCup and Les Voiliers classiques. An illustrator and journalist for the sailing magazine Voiles & Voiliers since 1984, he regularly writes articles for the international press and has received many literary prizes, including the prestigious Neptunia Prize delivered by the Musée de la Marine in Paris.
